DAY 4 Parma
This morning, your guided sightseeing tour of Parma will focus on the romanesque cathedral, the bell tower and the octagonal baptistry made of pink Verona marble. Next, enjoy a BALSAMIC VINEGAR TASTING near Modena, and learn all about this typical Italian product. DAY 5 Parma – Lucca
Today you’ll travel from Parma in the Emilia Romagna region to Lucca, located in Tuscany. In Lucca you’ll enjoy a walk through this quaint medieval town with its ramparts, and spend time in its pretty center. DAY 6 Lucca – Cinque Terre – Genoa
From Lucca you’ll drive up the Tuscany’s Mediterranean coast to the region of Liguria. There you’ll begin your exciting excursion to Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting Monterosso. After visiting the Cinque Terre travel to Genoa. (Breakfast & Dinner)
DAY 7 Genoa – Excursion to Portofino
Today’s highlight is a drive from Genoa and then boat ride (weather permitting) on the Mediterranean Sea to Portofino, a small fishing village with brightly colored houses that became home to the “rich and famous.” Later, there is time to relax and to browse through the attractive little shops. DAY 8 Genoa – Gabiano – Turin
Enter the Langhe area and drive through the vineyards to Gabiano, where you’ll enjoy a wine tasting followed by lunch at Castello di Gabiano. After the northern Italy with Cinque Terre tour continues to Turin, capital of Piedmont and birthplace of the Fiat automobile. This evening you may wish to try out one of Turin’s restaurants. DAY 9 Turin
During your sightseeing tour of Turin with a Local Guide, admire the 548-feet-high Mole Antonelliana, symbol of Turin. Next, walk through the historic center and visit the CATHEDRAL that houses the Holy Shroud. (Breakfast)
DAY 10 Turin – Vercelli – Milan
Before leaving Turin this morning, visit a rice factory in Vercelli and learn everything about its traditional products. You’ll enjoy a classic milanese lunch with risotto before returning to Milan.
