1) Siena, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano
Wonderful Middle Ages: Siena, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano. A tour to discover the Middle Ages
through ancient streets reliving episodes of local history. A guided tour of the center of Siena and San
Gimignano with stop to the castle-fortress of Monteriggioni. Lunch. Visiting and tasting at winery in San
Gimignano where the famous white native grape ‘Vernaccia’ is produced.
2) Montepulciano, Pienza and Monticchiello
Tour dedicated to Renaissance art lovers with a guided tour of the ‘perfect town’ Pienza, built and
designed by Pope Pius II in 1459. Pienza’s narrow streets where the smell of the famous Pecorino cheese
talks about ancient traditions. Montepulciano is considered by many as the ‘pearl of 1500’, is also a place
historically known for the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the first DOCG of red wine in Italy. The tour

Sant’Anna is at only 4 km from Pienza, is an ancient monastery a time ruled by the monks of Monte
Oliveto Maggiore, which keeps inside a refectory painted by the famous painter Antonio Bazzi, well known
as Sodoma, and in modern times it has benne the set of the movie ‘The English Patient’. Visit Monte Oliveto
Maggiore, a real village inhabited by Olivetan monks. It houses one of the most remarkable frescoes
executed first by Luca Signorelli and finished then by Sodoma. Lunch.
4) Montalcino and Sant’Antimo Abbey
Guided tour of the historical center of Montalcino with its imposing fortress and at the famous Abbey of
St.Antimo which is just 10 km from the town center. The Abbey, led by Augustinian monks, is enclosed
