Day 3: Gondola Ride with Music – $56

This afternoon sit back, relax, while the gondolier serenades you during your glide along Venice’s canals. From the narrow canals to the Grand Canal lined by lavish palace built by Venice’s merchants, experience the highlight of a trip to Venice. Note the Gondola ride include six passengers.

Day 6: Full Day Florence from Montecatini – $89

Today enjoy a day in the masterpiece of the Renaissance, Florence. The excursion includes a walking tour of Florence’s historic center. You’ll see the Duomo and its Dome designed by Brunelleschi. Next to the Duomo is the Bell Tower designed by Giotto. And the Baptistery where Ghiberti’s “Gates of Paradise” adorn the massive doors. From the historic center you’ll stroll the the Accademia Museum to see Michelangelo’s David sculpture. After the museum the stroll continues to Florence’s Signoria Square, which is full of Renaissance sculptures. The tour continues on the the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge that crosses the Arno River.

Day 7: Full Day Siena from Montecatini – $89

Enjoy a tour of the medieval city of Siena, site of the famous Horserace of Palio. This traditional race takes place each year on July 2nd and August 16th, and runs in celebration of the holy apparition and assumption of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the city. Tour Campo Square and St. Dominic’s Church before returning to Montecatini.

Day 9: Full Day Capri – $109

Cross the Bay of Naples by boat from Sorrento to the Isle of Capri. There you’ll enjoy a full day of sightseeing. Upon arrival you’ll visit the highest point on the island, Anacapri. Then you’ll have time to explore world class Made in Italy boutiques in Capri’s center. The day also includes a visit to the open-air Gardens of Augustus, from where you will appreciate breathtaking views of the famous Faraglioni rocks.

Day 12: Piazzas of Rome – $44

Scheduled during what is otherwise free time, enjoy an afternoon strolling Rome’s cobblestones streets from Piazza to Piazza. Rome is full of treasures. While walking around Rome admiring its beautiful piazzas you’ll visit the famous Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo dei Fiori. As you wind your way through Rome’s historic center lively vias and alleyways you’ll see all kinds of architectural treasures and maybe even some shopping spots to return.

Day 12: Dinner with Musical Entertainment & Illuminated Drive – $79

Then, on to Naples, where you are welcomed by the spectacular panoramic views and by the sapphire blue waters of the Gulf of Naples. Tonight, a lovely dinner together highlights your arrival in Southern Itay.

Day 9 – Full Day in Sorrento or Naples

Today you have a fee time. If in Naples enjoy this beautiful seaside city. Full of history, the archaeology museum is one of the most important in Western Civilization. In Sorrento you may enjoy this easide town and its charming town center.

Alternatively join an optional full day tour to the enchanting and picturesque Isle of Capri by boat – it will be a highlight! Here, you’ll walk through the narrow lanes of Anacapri, with its chic boutiques and shops offering tastings of the island’s famous Limoncello. Then, to La Piazzetta (Piazza Umberto I) where everyone gathers to socialize and to the Gardens of Augustus, towards the top of the island, a natural paradise, from where you can see splendid views of the sea and the famous Faraglioni rock formations, one of the island’s natural wonders. After a lovely day in Capri, return to Naples or Sorrento and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure

DAY 10 – Tour Amalfi Coast

Today enjoy a drive of the world-famous Amalfi route and admire panoramic views of the enchanting towns along the Mediterranean coast. Pass the distinctive white Moorish homes of Positano on this legendary road to reach the coastal town of Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Sorrento

 DAY 11 – Visit Ancient Roman City Pompeii and tour then continue to Rome

Depart Naples or Sorrento and head towards Rome. On the way, stop in Pompeii the city that was frozen in time under a thick carpet of volcanic ash almost 2,000 years ago. The tragic fossils of people attempting to escape, along with their children and dogs are still visible, along with the preserved ruins of the Temples of Apollo and Jupiter, and the Forum. Continue north, passing the magnificent Abbey of Monte Cassino, perched high on the mountaintop, scene of a huge battle near the end of World War II in which the abbey was completely destroyed, but has now been lovingly restored. Then, onto Rome, the astonishing city that combines modern city life with ancient wonders

DAY 12 – Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel

Today begins with the visit to the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo’s breathtaking Sistine Chapel. Stroll through St. Peter’s Square, passing Bernini’s famous colonnade, to visit St. Peter’s Basilica, where you will view Michelangelo’s Pieta. This highly-finished marble sculpture depicts the body of Jesus in the arms of Mary after the Crucifixion and is considered to be among the most compelling of all works of art in the Western world.
