Rome, Florence, Venice Escorted Italy Trip Itinerary
DAY 1 – Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Italy. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey
DAY 2 – Arrive in Rome
Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. This evening, aboit 5PM, enjoy an orientation meeting with your tour escort, followed by a welcome dinner.

DAY 3 – Rome Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica and Colosseum
Today enjoy the best of Rome. from hotel you’ll travel to the world’s smallest country, Vatican City.
The Vatican City tour includes visiting the Vatican Museum. Here you’ll see priceless art and artifcts from thousands of years of human history.
You’ll also visit the Sistine Chapel to stand before one of humanity’s greatest artistic achievements. You’ll hear stories of the year 1508 when Pope Julius II commissioned the 33-year old Michelangelo. The project took Michelangelo four agonizing years. The result is considered the most famous ceiling in the world, depicting the Creation of Adam in striking fresco style.
Afterward, you’ll visit St. Peter’s Basilica. There you’ll find another of Michelangelo’s great works, the Pieta.
From Vatican City the tour continues to the Colosseum. Maybe one of the msot iconic buildings, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of this while hearing stories of its brutal history meant to give the Roman’s bread and circuses.
The afternon and evening is at leisure.

DAY 4 – Assisi Sightseeing En Route to Florence
Travel through the stunning panorama of Umbria to the peaceful town of Assisi. Here you’ll have tome to stroll around the charming town. You’ll also visit the Basilica of St Francis Asssis. Inside you’ll find the famous Giotto frescoes that are considered some of the most important pieces of art demonstrating the transition from Medieval to Renaissance art.
Then the tour continues to Florence. This evening is at leisure. You may decide to join an optional dinner in the Tuscan coutryside.

DAY 5 – Florence City Tour
Today is dedicated to the art of Florence.
Sightseeing includes Michelangelo’s masterpiece, David, at the Academy of Fine Arts. Afterward, stroll throuhg Florence’s historic center to see Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistry’s heavy bronze “Gates of Paradise,” and Signoria Square.
After a morning of sightseeing an authentic Tuscan lunch is included.
The afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy at leisure in Florence.

DAY 6 – Pisa en Route to Venice
Today begins with an excursion to Pisa. Here you’ll visit the beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli, Field of Miracles. Take the ultimate selfie in front of the Leaning Tower with a tilt of the head or other popular poses to commemorate your visit to the site of medieval art in this beautiful piazza.
Afterward, the tour continues to Venice. Upon arrival you’ll have free time to enjoy Venice. Or you may join an optional dinner.

DAY 7 – Venice Sightseeing
Take a private Boat Ride on the canals.
Then, guided walking tour includes St. Mark’s Square, Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs and views of the Basilica. St. Mark’s Basilica dominates the square, offering visitors a spectacular view of the great arches, marble embellishments, and the Romanesque carvings of its facade. Also gracing the square is Doge’s Palace – a masterpiece of Venetian Gothic architecture. The enclosed Bridge of Sighs, connecting the palace with the prison, is named for the prisoners sighs at seeing their last view of the Rio di Palazzo on their walk to the prison.
Afterward there is a glassblowing demonstration, which is a Venetian art dating back centuries.
