Day 3

Roman Evening with Dinner – $75

On this easy-going evening in Rome we visit one of our favourite restaurants, where you’ll enjoy a warm welcome and delicious dinner of local cuisine with drinks and music.

Inside The Vatican Museums And Sistine Chapel – $65

Join us for an extension to your included sightseeing tour, which gives you a chance to see the artistic masterpieces collected and commissioned by the Popes. First, visit the Tapestry Gallery. Then its on to the Gallery of Maps. Finally, visit the magnificent Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo spent four years preparing the vault and altar wall, and we’ll give you plenty of time to admire just how much painstaking work went into his creations. This optional involves reservation and entrance pre-payments. Therefore, cancellation within 24 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Day 4

Tivoli And Gardens Of The Villa D’Este – $60

Visit the ancient Sabine town of Tivoli with our Local Specialist to enjoy the gardens and fountains of the Villa D’Este. We’ll see its grottos and pavilions. After that, the Avenue of a Hundred Fountains. Then you’ll see the Dragon Fountain of the Organ.

Piazzas and Fountains of Rome – $45

Discover the most charming areas in the city with a Local Specialist. Wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets and beautiful squares of Rome’s historic centre, leading to highlights such as the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, as well as hidden corners of the Eternal City.

Day 6

Explore Ravello – $50

Join us on a trip to the balcony of the Amalfi coast. Ravello is perched high above the terraced groves with breathtaking views. Your Local Specialist will show you the gardens of the Villa Rufolo, which inspired Wagner. Then you’ll have free time to visit the 11th century cathedral.

Amalfi Coast and Positano – €57

Join us as we take in delightful villages and spectacular scenery along the incredible Amalfi Coast. First you’ll visit the celebrated town of Positano, which is also a Unesco World Heritage site. Then there will be time to shop for local goods or enjoy a drink in a cafe overlooking the beach.

Day 7

Dinner On The Amalfi Coast – €64

Come with us for a short drive to a restaurant we know and love on the Amalfi Coast. You’ll get to try some locally-loved dishes and drinks, all served alongside Neapolitan hospitality and beautiful views.

Capri by Boat – €42

Experience Capri’s spectacular cliffs, famous turquoise waters and white grotto the best way – by boat with a first-class view of this unique coastline. After the cruise, we ascend to Capri town, where there is time to take a stroll in this jet set haven and enjoy a local treat. In case of inclement weather, we’ll take you on a mini bus tour of the island to Anacapri, and visit Villa San Michele.

Day 8

Dinner, Wine And Music In The Tuscan Hills – €65

This evening we’ll take a scenic drive to experience a fun and relaxed evening at a friendly, family restaurant in the Tuscan countryside. After a welcome drink in the historic courtyard, the renowned local chef will delight your senses with regional dishes, made with traditional ingredients from the nearby produce markets. The excellent wines come from the Saraceni family vineyards and there’s live music and song to complete the atmosphere. In short, a Tuscan dream come true in an authentic setting.

Tuscan Dinner at Villa Machiavelli – €65

Through the Chianti hills, we’ll drive past vineyards to a delightful hamlet. Our destination is the ancient stone house of Machiavelli, where the great political theorist wrote his immortal work, ‘The Prince’. Enjoy a welcome drink. Then visit the villa and its wine-cellars. Afterward, you’ll enjoy the best of Tuscan cuisine accompanied by great music and drinks, including of course, Chianti from the Villa’s own vines.

Day 9

Visit To San Gimignano – €36

Join us for a panoramic drive to the nearby hilltop town of San Gimignano with our Local Specialist. Magnificently preserved from the Middle Ages, this little town, known as the ‘Medieval Manhattan’, is one of the most beautiful in Italy – a true gem.

Day 10

Lagoon Cruise to Burano with Food and Drinks – €72

Join us as we discover the Venetian Lagoon by private boat. You will enjoy a delicious meal with a selection of drinks on the fishermen’s island of Burano, famous for its multi-coloured houses – a real photographer’s paradise.

Day 11

Gondolas and the Grand Canal – €70

Join us for a breathtaking cruise by private water taxi along Venice’s Grand Canal. You’ll admire the magnificent palazzi, as well as catching a glimpse of the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square. Later on, you’ll glide gracefully on a gondola along Venice’s dreamy, narrow waterways.

Venice’s Secrets and St. Mark’s Basilica – €36

    Day 1 – Depart the United States

    Day 2 – Welcome to Rome “Eternal City”

    Upon arrival in Rome meet transfer at scheduled times for ride from Airport to hotel. Your flight must arrive within specified window to meet arrival transfer. Alternatively you may take taxi to Rome hotel.

    Check into your hotel then spend the day in Rome enjoying its cobblestone streets and amazing architecture. Walk around the piazzas and havea gelato.

    This evening is an included welcome reception where you will meet your fellow travelers and the Tour Director. The evening activites include an orientation to Rome.

    Day 3 – Discover Vatican City, Ancient Rome and the Colosseum.

    This morning begins at Vatican City. A local expert english-speaing guide introduces you to St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world full of priceless artifacts including Michelangelo’s Pieta.

    You may join an optional tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel.

    The tour continues to Ancient Rome. There you will see the Circus Maximus where chariot races were once held. Aferward, the tour includes a visit to the Colosseum.

    This afternoon there is free time to explore Rome on your own.

    Day 4 – Rome Free Day

    Discover why the Italians say ‘it is sweet doing nothing’, spending your day watching Rome’s beautiful people embrace life lived to its fullest in the exquisite city. Delve into its treasures spanning millennia – the museums, churches, gardens and architecture that remain as enduring symbols of a powerful city.

    You may also consider an optional tour to Tivoli, site of the magnificent Villa d’Este Gardens.

    Day 5 – Explore the Ruins of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast

    Today the tour departs Rome for the Amalfi Coast located in southern Italy. Along the way there is an included excursion to the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Cassino. There you’ll view the 6th-century Benedictine Abbey that was destroyed during World War II.

    After Cassino the tour continues with an excursion to Pompeii, a city frozen in time. In Pompeii you will enjoy a tour of the excavations that date back to 85 A.D. when Mt Veusvius erupted burying the city in ash. The tour includes strolls past important archaeological sites such as the Forum and Temple of Apollo.

    After Pompeii the tour of southern Italy continues to your hotel, located in Maiori on the Amalfi Coast. After arrival dinner is included at the hotel.

    Day 6 – Scenic Amalfi Coast Your Way

    Today you have relaxing time to enjoy a free day on the Amalfi Coast. You can ride the bus around the coast.

    You may also joining an optional tour the Positano and Ravello.

    The Amalfi Coast has inspired artists since the ancient Greeks inhabited the area 3000 years ago. Today you have free time to take it all in and absorb the beauty that has inspried huamns for milleniums.

    After that, spend a relaxing evening sipping limoncello and watching the Mediterranean sky light up in glorious pinks, yellows and blues.

    Day 7 – Experience the Isle of Capri and Amalfi

    This morning the tour includes an excursion by boat to Capri. Long known as a jet setters paradise. Upon arrival you will ride the funicular to the town center. Then enjoy a walking tour of this lovely location.

    After that you will return to the Amalfi Coast. Then there is time for an excursion to Amalfi, the medieval town after which the coast is named. There you have free time to stroll around, shop, and finally maybe even indulge in a lemon gelato.

    Day 8 – Journey to Florence

    From the Amalfi Coast, the Italy trip travels north through the rolling green and golden landscape of Umbria into scenic Tuscany before arriving in the Renaissance city of Florence.

    Upon arrival you’ll have a free evening in Florence to wander around its cobblestone streets. Then maybe drop into a local trattoria to taste the world famous Tuscan food.

    Day 9 – Florence Your Way

    Delve into the history of a city renowned for its art, architecture and cultural treasures. Join your Local Specialist for a walking tour, including views of the exquisite marble Duomo, Baptistery and Ponte Vecchio. Wander through the Piazza della Signoria, the centre of Florentine political life since the 14th century with its prominent Palazzo Vecchio. Learn about the quality and workmanship of two of this city’s historic industries at demonstrations of Florentine leathercraft and 18-carat gold.

    Later, Connect With Locals at a Be My Guest experience at the 12th-century Castle of Trebbio set against the backdrop of Tuscan vineyards and olive groves. Enjoy dinner of traditional Tuscan fare, explore the wine cellars, and indulge in olive oil and wine tasting.

    Day 10 – Venture to Venice

    After a leisurely start to the day, continue north, bound for Venice, the ‘Queen of the Adriatic’, which is your home for the next two nights.

    We cruise by private launch to the city’s most prominent sights, including views of the Bridge of Sighs. Then its on to St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica and finally the ornate Doge’s Palace. Along the way dive Into culture witnessing first-hand the intricate craft of glassblowing. Soak up the pageantry and elegance of Venice before enjoying a Farewell Dinner with our Travel Director and newfound friends to toast to the delicious flavours of Italy.
