Day 1 – Depart the United States for your overnight flight to Italy.
Day 2 – Arrive in Rome for 2 nights in the Eternal City (2 Nights)
The Italy tour begins in Rome. Today stroll around Rome’s ancient streets on your own. Maybe enjoy a world famous gelato. Enjoy the day before the guided Rome tours begin. This evening there is a welcome reception. You will enjoy an evening drive of Rome to see St Peter’s Basilica illuminated by lights.

Day 3 – Rome guided tours
Start the day in Rome with a guided tour of the Vatican Museums. You’ll be guided through the museum by expert Vatican tour guided. Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and his Pietà in St. Peter’s Basilica are the Vatican tour highlights.
Afterward, you’ll cross Rome’s historic center to see the Circus Maximus and Colosseum in Ancient Rome. Note the tour does not go inside the Colosseum.
After the included escorted tours there is free time to enjoy strolling around Rome.

Day 4 Travel from Rome to Tour Pompeii and then Capri over night (2 NIGHTS)
Today drive south from Rome to Pompeii. Once in Pompeii you will tour the vast excavations. Pompeii was buried for centuries beneath volcanic ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. With commentary from your local expert tour guide you’ll see how the ancient Romans lived life on the Bay of Naples.
After visiting Pompeii cruise across the Bay of Naples to the beautiful Isle of Capri. This is a unique Italy tour that includes overnights on the Isle of Capri.

Day 5 Today Enjoy Capri
You’ll start the day with a Capri walk about. You’ll enjoy views of the Marina Piccola. Then have an espresso in Capri’s Piazzetta. This is the center of local life. There are also plenty of Made in Italy goods to shop for at elegant boutiques.
Afterward, you have free time to enjoy Capri on your own. You may decide to check out the Blue Grotto or just hang out at Faraglioni.
Weather permitting you may join an optional tour of Capri this afternoon, which travels by boat. Or, you can even hire a boat to take you for the day.

Day 6 Cruise from Capri to Naples. Then on to Assisi in Umbria
This morning you’ll cruise back across the Bay of Naples to Naples. You’ll enjoy a drive through ‘Bella Napoli’ and then North up the Apennines mountains to the Umbrian hills. Your destination is the peaceful town of Assisi.
First, visit the historic Umbrian city of Perugia. Here we’ll ‘Make a Difference’ and discover Italy’s weaving tradition during a visit to Laboratorio Giuditta Brozzetti. Explore one of the last remaining traditional wooden frame hand-weaving workshops in the country.
Then the tour continues to the ancient hilltop town of Assisi, where you’ll stay for the night.

Day 7 Tour Assisi. Then travel through Umbria and Emilia Romagna to Venice (2 Nights)
